If you enjoy something, you're very likely to be good at it too.

David Knibbe

CEO at NN

My time as a Monetary Economics student might have been the most formative period of my life – and not only because I learned a great deal about the mysteries of monetary theory!

Student life in Rotterdam contributed to my personal development in ways that I still benefit from today. From learning how to work together in teams and prioritising tasks, to viewing things from different perspectives – these experiences have been invaluable. The friends I made back then are still my best friends today.

My advice to future students? Focus on what you truly enjoy, rather than just what might benefit your career. If you enjoy something, you're very likely to be good at it too. Alongside your academic achievements, try to prioritise developing your social skills. Because in today's business world, success is not about being the smartest in the room; it's more about working together and getting things done.
