10 years after the crisis

In an interview at BNR Nieuwsradio on Wednesday 5 September 2018, Sandra Phlippen, Assistant Professor at Erasmus School of Economics and Head for the Netherlands of ABN AMRO’s Group Economics, answers questions concerning the financial crisis 10 years ago.

'The biggest mistake that economists have made is that the supervisors let Lehman Brothers fall because they thought it was an isolated problem. There was no knowledge at all of the sizes in which the risks between banks and between banks and governments are intertwined.'
