Accounting professor Linda Myers visits Erasmus School of Economics

Linda Myers has been appointed visiting professor Audit and Governance at Erasmus School of Economics. During her stay in Rotterdam, between 24 February and 6 March, 2020, Myers will focus among other things on advising junior faculty, and providing feedback on ongoing projects, as well as participating in the School’s Female Network. She already has joint work with Assistant Professor of Accounting, Dr Wenjiao Cao.

Professor Linda Myers is currently the Haslam Chair of accounting at the University of Tennessee and director of its PhD programme. She obtained her PhD from the University of Michigan and has held positions at various top universities in the United States, such as the University of Illinois, Texas A&M and the University of Arkansas.

Her research expertise is in the field of auditing, corporate governance, and financial accounting, which fits well with the current research areas of the School’s section ‘Accounting, Auditing and Control’ (department of Business Economics).

Myers is well-published in the top journals in the field of accounting (13 P* publications, among others, in the past five years). She is also an editor or serves on the editorial board of several top journals in this field, such as The Accounting Review, Contemporary Accounting Research, and Accounting Horizons.
