A dream has come true for IBEB student Mareen Bastiaans. This summer she attends an intensive three-week undergraduate course at the LSE Summer School in London. The nice thing is that this has been made possible with financial support of alumnus Dick Verbeek.
Verbeek (1950), who studied economics in Rotterdam and led Aon (the world's leading provider of global risk management, insurance brokerage and consulting services) in Europe for almost 20 years, granted Mareen with a scholarship through the Erasmus Education Fund. Just before she set off on her trip to London Mareen was able to meet Dick Verbeek in person in the Theil Building on Woudestein campus.
