On Tuesday 5 September 2017 Dean Philip Hans Franses surprised Olivier Marie with a bouquet of flowers for his appointment as Endowed Professor of Labour Economics at Erasmus School of Economics through the Erasmus Trustfonds.
Olivier Marie joined Erasmus School of Economics in May 2016 as an associate professor in the Department of Economics. He is in charge of the Macroeconomics (Bachelor 1) and Labour Economics (Bachelor 3) courses. His research agenda over the next few years will include investigating the multiple reasons that could explain the ‘Dutch crime drop’ that occurred over the past three decades.
