'It’s a memory that’s stayed with me clearly,' Bálint recalls. 'I was in my gap year, sitting alone in a quiet, wooden room of an old monastery, taking the online admissions exam for Erasmus University Rotterdam. I had spent days studying in isolation, but every evening I found motivation in the same routine. I’d think back to my campus tour, watch the Eureka Week video again, look at the photo of the university on my wall, and dream about what life there might be like.'
Now studying the Double Bachelor BSc² in Econometrics and Economics, Bálint writes about his experiences in his blog. 'I want readers to see the university, the city of Rotterdam, and even the Netherlands through my eyes,' he says. 'It’s not just about big events, but also the small moments that make up daily student life.'
His blog is for anyone interested in what it’s really like to study at Erasmus, including prospective students and their parents. He hopes his stories offer some insight and maybe even inspiration.
Curious? Bálint has written several blogs, which can be found on his Unibuddy page. Find out more about his weekend getaway to Kasteel de Haar, or his 5 most important tips for studying. Of course, you can always ask him, or other students, questions via the Unibuddy chat.
