The recent In Duplo Congress, which was put on by the Study Association In Duplo, was a great success. The event was held in Paviljoen, providing an excellent platform for inspiring stories and fruitful interactions.
Alumni Speakers
The Congress featured prominent speakers including the former State Secretary of Finance of the Netherlands, Steven van Eijck, member of the Dutch Council of State and Professor of Tax Law at Erasmus University, Sigrid Hemels, project leader at CPB and professor Taxation and Public Finance at Tilburg University, Arjan Lejour, and several Members of the Dutch Parliament. It's worth noting that Steven, Sigrid, and Arjan Lejour are all Erasmus School of Economics alumni!
Theme
During the Congress, attendees discussed the theme of the division of wealth, centred around the famous quote by economist Jan Tinbergen: "The profit comes from the distribution." The discussions were insightful and thought-provoking, and participants left feeling inspired to contribute positively to society. We hope that this event serves as an example of the vibrant and engaged alumni community we have at Erasmus School of Economics.
