With generous financial support of Erasmus School of Economics’ alumnus Mr. Dick Verbeek, economics and law student Demi- Ann Arriola will attend an intensive three-week undergraduate summer course in Corporate Finance at London School of Economics.
Dick Verbeek who studied economics in Rotterdam (graduated in 1975) and led Aon (the world's leading provider of global risk management, insurance brokerage and consulting services) in Europe for 20 years, has granted economics students with a scholarship for many years.
Skills for a financial future
Recipient Demi-Ann Arriola is a Bachelor Honours Class student at Erasmus School of Economics. The programme of the Bachelor Honours Class is designed to deepen economic knowledge beyond standard curriculum, to break the shackles of economic paradigm, to stimulate personal development, and to polish both soft and academic skills.
Demi-Ann will follow the Advanced Corporate Finance summer course at London School of Economics, which will enable her to build a strong foundation in capital budgeting, optimal capital structure, and the valuation of start-ups, mergers, and private equity buyouts. These are essential tools for making informed, strategic decisions as a finance professional ready to lead with agility in a rapidly evolving landscape.
