In the coming month the EFR will organise many interesting events. Most importantly, on 8 December the EFR sustainability summit ‘Transform Your World’ will take place and the website of the Erasmus Recruitment Days is open for registration.
In September 2015, leaders from all around the world agreed that we need to “Transform our World”. They even settled on the to-do list: the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG).
We would like to invite you to gather around the SDGs on 8 December and work out action plans for national and international achievement of the SDGs. We offer a platform to build on the many activities that you may already have underway, link those so we can reinforce each other, and agree on the next steps. Let’s transform our world together.
During the day students and invitees from the different organisations will work together in workshops to start alliances between all the different kinds of people that are represented during the day. In particular, from 12.30 the DSGC pitch-masterclasses will start. These masterclasses are facilitated by the following companies: DSM, Shell, Unilever and Phillips. During the masterclass you will tackle a real life problem of one of the companies. You will do this with a group of four students and your goal is to come up with a creative and innovative idea for this problem. If you deliver the best pitch, you will get the chance to pitch your idea to the CEOs of the companies, since all CEO's will be at the event.
After the workshops there will be a general interactive discussion with Minister Ploumen, the CEO's and other prominent speakers. Here you can discuss your ideas for the world with the people that are main responsible for implementing the SDGs. For the full programme, have a look at www.efr.nl/transformyourworld.
Holidays are almost there, and that means a new year is around the corner. In this new year the EFR will organise a lot activities for bachelor- and master students. Have a look on the website and find out what the EFR can offer you.
