EUR Fellowships for Remy Spliet and Wendun Wang

EUR Fellowships voor Remy Spliet en Wendun Wang

Assistant Professors Remy Spliet and Wendun Wang of Erasmus School of Economics have both obtained an EUR Fellowship. With the EUR Fellowship Erasmus University Rotterdam wants to support talented researchers at the early stage of their academic career. The fellowship consists of a grant of € 135,000, to carry out research for a maximum of two years.

Research proposal of Remy Spliet

Remy Spliet’s proposed research (entitled: Splitting the Bill of Timely Transportation) initiates a new direction of studies for cost allocation in vehicle routing. It potentially leads to a stream of research, partly because many real world applications fit this theme. Moreover, the research complements current studies on collaboration in transportation, which mainly focus on the scheduling aspect.

Research proposal of Wendun Wang

The proposed research of Wendun Wang (entitled: Estimating Panel Data Model with Heterogeneity and Structural Instability) can be used in many fields of economic and business analysis. For example, it can be used to analyse different economic mechanisms before and after significant events, such as financial crises, technology shocks, oil price shocks, etc.
