The first month of the new year has passed and FAECTOR started the new year with a large range of social and career-oriented events. February will be more relaxed, although the largest nationwide event for econometricians, the ‘Landelijke Econometristen Dag’, will take place in this month.
January was once again a busy month. We had a Ski Trip with 54 econometrists, the FAECTOR Excellence Programme started, we had the speed-date event Find Your Match in co-operation with 11 companies, and finally we had the Interfaculty Gala with ACE>, Cedo Nulli, FMBG, In Duplo and MAEUR.
Also, the new committee members have been announced for the new committees. Tonight we welcome the new active members with a drink in our café Concordia, together with the ‘old’ active members.
Coming Wednesday the 8th of February a large group of senior members will travel to the Jaarbeurs in Utrecht for the ´Landelijke Econometristen Dag 2017 (LED)’. With more than 40 participating companies active in different parts of econometrics, it is the largest recruitment event for econometricians. The day will finish with a large party and accommodation is available for people who want to party all night long. You can find more information at www.leditibeyourday.nl.
Due to exams, the rest of February will not be that busy with regard to our events. Following the exams, we will organise the legendary Active Members Weekend with all our active members to get to know each other better.
The destination of this year’s immense popular City Trip is the beautiful Prague. After the exams of block 3, a group of 60 members will visit the city which is famous for its architecture and cheap beers.
