Erasmus University Rotterdam ranks among the top 10 in Europe in three research areas, according to the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2014 published on 26 February 2014.
It concerns the subjects Medicine, Accounting & Finance and Economics & Econometrics. In these three areas of research Erasmus University Rotterdam is also listed as the best Dutch university.
In the research area Economics & Econometrics, Erasmus School of Economics rises in the worldwide ranking the latter from 40 (2013) to 38. Both on the subjects Accounting & Finance and Economics & Econometrics Erasmus University Rotterdam is in the top 10 in Europe. It ranks tenth place in Accounting & Finance this year and ninth place in Economics & Econometrics.
For the area Statistics and Operational Research, Erasmus Universiteit Rotterdam is also one of only two Dutch institutions in the top 100.
For this edition of the QS World University Rankings by Subject about three thousand universities were analyzed . A top 200 was made per subject based on academic reputation, employer reputation and citations. All results can be found here.
QS also makes an overall ranking, the World University Ranking, on which Erasmus University Rotterdam occupies the 92th spot. A new edition of this ranking is coming this fall.
