Introduction Canvas

Introduction Canvas

The technical implementation of our new Learning Management System (LMS) Canvas has started. This academic year, Blackboard will slowly but surely be replaced by Canvas, and teachers will have the opportunity to start using Canvas.

Starting in January 2018, Canvas will be available to all teachers and students alongside Blackboard. Various trainings will be offered on Canvas and additional support will be available to ensure a smooth transition from Blackboard to Canvas.

From January to September 2018, teachers have the option to offer their courses in either Canvas or Blackboard. We strongly encourage the use of Canvas and hope that many courses will already be offered in Canvas this academic year. Only for Ba1 courses we advise some caution and Ba1 teachers who want to switch to Canvas this academic year should request extra support. As of 1 September 2018, all courses need to be offered in Canvas. Blackboard will only be available for copying course content.
