Keuzegids 2019: Bachelor programmes at Erasmus School of Economics receive higher scores

Keuzegids 2019

Despite an increase in student numbers in the study programmes, Erasmus School of Economics has received slightly higher scores in the Keuzegids 2019 compared to last year. The large-scale bachelor programmes respectively facilitated 952 students in Economics & Business Economics, 451 students in Econometrics and 140 students in Fiscale Economie.

Judgments of students about both the programmes and the lecturers and their quality in teaching, guiding and giving feedback, remained stable despite the increase in student numbers. And based on the judgment by the Accreditation Organisation of the Netherlands and Flanders (NVAO), experts qualify all programmes of Erasmus School of Economics ‘above average’.

The students' assessment of the quality and availability of, among other things, lecture rooms, study places and ICT facilities remains a focus point for the University. Although the University Library opened its doors after a major modernisation (adding an extra 300 study places) at the end of June 2017, the forced and temporary closure of the Polak Building in December 2017 may have influenced the student’s verdict. The Polak Building, which accommodates study facilities for around six hundred students, re-opened in June 2018.
