Mayor Ahmed Aboutaleb has won the 15th Marketing Award Rotterdam. The award was handed out during the city’s New Year's Reception at the Laurenskerk on Tuesday, January 5th. The jury states that Aboutaleb has been the ‘ultimate ambassador for Rotterdam’ in 2015.
The jury admires Aboutaleb’s pride that he always conveys about his city. ‘From the White House to Indonesia, from the private sector to the neighbourhoods of the city. Aboutaleb is able to give detailed and appealing information about the port, Erasmus University Rotterdam, the Erasmus Medical Centre, the entrepreneurs and the residents of the city. He shows everyone that Rotterdam is the city where you want to be.’
