Meet Erasmus School of Economics new employees

As of this month a column will be included in which new employees of Erasmus School of Economics will be introduced. Since June 2018, Haikun Zhu and Marshall Ma have joined the Finance section of the Department of Business Economics.

    Haikun Zhu

    Haikun Zhu received a B.A. in Economics from Nankai University (Tianjin, China), and joined the Research Master program at Tilburg University in 2012. He has been a Ph.D. Candidate in the Department of Finance since 2014, and visited Singapore Management University (Singapore) in 2017.

    Haikun’s research interests include political economy of finance, FinTech, and financial intermediations. His research has been presented at major international conferences in the field of financial economics (WFA, EFA, FIRS, CICF, etc.), and it has won best paper awards from SFS-Cavalcade Asia-Pacific conference (2017) and the Finance Down Under Conference (2018) sponsored by CFA Society.

    Haikun Zhu is a new colleague at the Finance section of the department of Business Economics as of 1 June 2018. 

    Marshall (Xiaoyin) Ma

    Marshall (Xiaoyin) Ma

    Marshall has just happily joined Finance Section ESE in Jun 2018. He has studied in Shanghai University of Finance and Economics for bachelor, Shanghai Advanced Institute of Finance at Shanghai Jiao Tong University for research master, and Tilburg University for PhD in Finance.

    His researches interests include art investment, experimental finance, behavioral finance, and hedge fund, etc. He likes basketball and choir and is the chairman of Chinese Students and Scholars Association in Tilburg.
