Attention! This event is in Dutch. For the third time in a row, debate stage Arminius, Studium Generale of EUR and economists' association KVS are organising the Million Note Debate. In addition to reflecting on the Budget Memorandum and the general considerations, it will also focus on inflation and the future of work.
"What's in the suitcase?" is the big question asked every year on the third Tuesday of September. That question has only become more urgent with skyrocketing inflation, rampant house prices and rents, and the aftermath (or resurgence) of the corona crisis. What will the Budget Day plans mean for our future? Is an impending recession coming? What about current inflation? And what is the state of our economy?
Including: Bas Jacobs (Professor of Public Economics VU), Annelie Petersen (De Nederlandsche Bank), Ronald Dekker (Labour Economist TNO), Martine Wolzak (journalist at the FD) and Jan Middendorp (former Member of Parliament, PhD student at VU, and Head of Corporate Development & Strategy at Bunq). The evening will be moderated by Robert Dur, Professor of Economics of Incentives and Performances at Erasmus School of Economics.
Tickets for the event can be ordered via the Arminius website. EUR students can reserve a free ticket with code EUR823 (student ID will be checked).
