Again, a new all-time high record for the most successful open access, online education course of Erasmus University Rotterdam, the highly successful Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) Econometrics: Methods and Applications has reached over 150,000 enrolled learners.
This MOOC is based on a globally successful Oxford UP Textbook Econometric Methods with Applications in Business and Economics and is taught by teachers at the Econometric Institute of Erasmus School of Economics, including Dr Christiaan Heij, key author of the textbook. Heij recently received 'De Desiderius' award for his exceptional contribution and enormous commitment to Erasmus School of Economics over the past 33 years.
In line with the university’s strategy, Erasmus School of Economics has disseminated its scientific knowledge in the field of economics and econometrics by offering open access, online education. It has successfully developed three highly successful MOOCs.
The MOOC Econometrics: Methods and Applications is particularly interesting to students with an advanced undergraduate level in business, economics or engineering, and for those who work in business, management and data analysis. Unique about this MOOC is the emphasis on the practical application of econometric theories, which will help learners to get hands-on experience and will be of great help in their further studies or career.
