'Performance pay works better if the whole team receives more’

In an interview with XpertHR Actueel Jan van Ours, Professor of applied economics at Erasmus School of Economics, is asked in what for ways companies can recruit new personnel and keep them. In the interview van Ours shares his opinion on the concept of performance pay.

‘Performance pay works better if the whole team receives more. Of course some people will profit more than others do. But if you would reward individuals based on their own performances personnel will become restless.’
