On Thursday 20 February 2014 Anne Opschoor will defend his PhD thesis entitled 'Understanding Financial Market Volatility'. Supervisor is Professor Dick van Dijk and co-supervisor is dr. Michel van der Wel (both of Erasmus School of Economics). Other members of the Doctoral Committee are Professor Richard Paap (Erasmus School of Economics), Professor Peter Boswijk (University of Amsterdam) and Professor Jeroen Rombouts (ESSEC Business School).

The PhD defence will take place in the Senate Hall of Erasmus University Rotterdam (Campus Woudestein)Â and will start at 13.30 hrs.

Anne Opschoor conducted his doctoral research at the Tinbergen Institute.
