On Friday 14 March 2014 Eran Raviv will defend his PhD thesis entitled 'Forecasting Financial and Macroeconomic Variables: Shrinkage, Dimension reduction, and Aggregation’. Supervisor is Professor Dick van Dijk (Erasmus School of Economics). Other members of the Doctoral Committee are Professor Dennis Fok (Erasmus School of Economics), Professor Domenico Giannone (Solvay Brussels School of Economic and Management) and  Professor Rafał Weron (Wrocław University of Technology).

The PhD defence will take place in the Senate Hall of Erasmus University Rotterdam (Campus Woudestein)Â and will start at 13.30 hrs.

Eran Raviv conducted his doctoral research at the Tinbergen Institute.
