On Friday 26 September 2014 Sander Gerritsen will defend his PhD thesis entitled 'Essays On The Production Of Human Capital’. Supervisor is Professor Dinand Webbink (Erasmus School of Economics). Other members of the Doctoral Committee are Professor Hessel Oosterbeek (University of Amsterdam), Professor Bas ter Weel (University of Maastricht) and Dr. Maarten Bosker (Erasmus School of Economics).

The PhD defence will take place in the Senate Hall of Erasmus University Rotterdam (Campus Woudestein)Â and will start at 11.30 hrs.
About Sander Gerritsen
Sander Gerritsen was born in 1983 in Amsterdam. He studied econometrics at the University of Amsterdam from 2001 to 2008. He obtained his bachelor degree in 2006 and his master degree in 2008. His master thesis was about the effect of cannabis use on educational attainment. He has been working as a researcher for the CPB Netherlands Bureau for Economic Policy Analysis since 2009. From 2011 onwards, he started working on his PhD thesis.

Gerritsen's PhD research project is conducted within the Erasmus Doctoral Programme organized by Erasmus Research Institute of Management (ERIM), the joint research institute of Rotterdam School of Management (RSM) and Erasmus School of Economics (ESE) of the Erasmus University Rotterdam (EUR).
