On 1 November 2020, Suzanne van der Pluijm will take up the position of Director of Operations at Erasmus School of Economics. She succeeds Sarah Wilton, who has joined the Executive Board of Avans University of Applied Sciences as of 1 September 2020. Van der Pluijm knows Erasmus University Rotterdam well. Prior she held a similar position at Erasmus School of Health Policy & Management.
As Director of Operations, Suzanne van der Pluijm is responsible for developing and managing the implementation of strategic objectives in the fields of Finance, ICT, HRM, Management and Policy, and Facilities and Accommodation. Van der Pluijm's vision is clear: ‘I am responsible for ensuring that the secondary processes match the primary, education and research, as closely as possible. With the current workload within education and research, it is important that operational management is organised as optimally as possible. We will do our very best for that in the coming years! "
Patrick Groenen, Dean of Erasmus School of Economics, is pleased with her arrival: ‘Suzanne will start her new role as Director of Operations at Erasmus School of Economics with valuable experiences within Erasmus School of Health Policy and Management and at Leiden University, in similar positions.
