Bas Jacobs, Professor of Public Finance and Economic Policy at Erasmus School of Economics, states that the CPB Netherlands Bureau for Economic Policy Analysis "does not provide essential information" and focuses too much on the income charts.
"The CPB Netherlands Bureau for Economic Policy Analysis shows that there are substantial differences in the tax burden between single and two-earner households and that these differences become greater with time. But it cannot be concluded in general from the CPB study that single-earners pay too much tax."
