Workshop: Self-Organizing Logistics for the Intermodal industry

On Thursday 28 March 2019 Jeroen Vester, PhD candidate at Erasmus School of Economics, and Walter Kusters (Ab Ovo) will present their research to make the intermodal supply chain self-organising. According to Kusters ‘there is already a lot of technology available to self-organising logistics, such as GPS, IoT, algorithms, clouds, etc.

But how do the different components communicate with each other? What questions should the load ask the wagons? What is the desired information? What logic is followed and which dialogue would that lead to?’ These are a few questions that the research team tries to answer.
