Biography
Auke de Jong is a part-time PhD candidate at the Department of Economics at the Erasmus School of Economics, supervised by Prof. dr. Dinand Webbink and dr. Sacha Kapoor. He examines how experiences in higher education influence student outcomes. His research applies econometric methods to assess the impact of policies, with the goal of informing evidence-based policy in education and labour market integration.
Trained as an econometrician and active as a Business Advisor at Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences, he bridges theory and practice. His research interests extend beyond higher education to include education economics, labour markets, and policy impact. Auke welcomes interdisciplinary collaboration in these fields.
