Academic Integrity

Within Erasmus School of Economics everyone involved in research is responsible for maintaining the academic integrity of his / her own research. In order to provide support to its researchers Erasmus School of Economics has instituted a number of policies that provide a foundation for good research practice at the School.

Standards for academic integrity

All faculty at Erasmus School of Economics has signed the Dutch Code of Conduct for Scientific Practice from VSNU (Vereniging van Samenwerkende Nederlandse Universiteiten / Association of universities in the Netherlands). This code lays down principles concerning reliability, verifiability and independence and ensures scientists do everything they can to ensure compliance with these principles.

Also Erasmus School of Economics' PhD candidates are educated on the subject of academic integrity in their program, in the form of training and discussions.

Additional 'self-paced' training regarding questions on academic integrity is available in the form of a 'Dilemma Game’.
