dr. (Annemarie) AMF Hiemstra

Biography

Dr. Annemarie Hiemstra is associate professor in Methods & Skills at the Department of Psychology, Education and Child Sciences, Erasmus University Rotterdam. She has over 20 years of experience in both science and practice in the areas of personnel selection, assessment and training. Within this field, her research focuses on (ethnic) diversity in admission, selection, and applicant reactions. She is an associate editor for the European Journal of Psychological Assessment and serves in the editorial board of the International Journal of Selection and Assessment. She enjoys advising and teaching graduate and undergraduate students in courses such as Cross Cultural Psychology and Psychological Assessment. Until 2023, Annemarie was the programme director of the (international) Psychology bachelor programme at Erasmus School of Social and Behavioural Sciences. Furthermore, she served as President of the European Association of Work and Organizational Psychology (EAWOP). EAWOP aims to promote and support the development and application of Work and Organizational Psychology in Europe and to facilitate links between scientists and practitioners working in this field.
