Alumna Health Psychology
I chose the Health Psychology master's because of my interest in human behaviour and physical and mental health. I found it very interesting to learn how theory and research can be applied to help people change their behaviours to improve their well-being. The programme strongly focused on the role of digital interventions, which I believe are an essential part of the future of healthcare. We were offered a strong theoretical foundation, which was complemented by many opportunities to apply our knowledge in real-world settings. In addition, we had a lot of inspiring guest lectures from professionals in the field.
I really enjoyed this master's programme. The classes are small, so there is a lot of interaction with fellow students and lecturers. Everyone is very engaged with the programme, the lecturers are enthusiastic and approachable, and there are many opportunities for collaboration. One of my favourite courses was Design of Digital Interventions, where we worked in small groups to design our very own digital health intervention. This was a great opportunity to put all the knowledge from previous courses into practice.
The programme also pays a lot of attention to research and professional skills, which prepared me well for the job market. I will soon start a traineeship focused on innovation in healthcare and government. In this role, I can directly apply the knowledge and skills I gained during my master's.
