Students on campus Erasmus University Rotterdam

For whom?

Tuition fee exemption is a one-time exemption from tuition fees during the board year that can be applied for by full-time board members of student associations and the University Council.

Two options Tuition fee exemption

1. Tuition fee exemption as an enrolled  student

  • You register for an initial programme at EUR;
  • You would have to pay statutory tuition fees for this, but the Tuition Fee exemption Regulations set the amount you have to pay to 0;
  • You renounce following education/taking exams/exams/receiving guidance;
  • You can make use of any right to student finance from DUO (because you are registered as a student).

2. Tuition fee exemption for non-registered board members

  • You do not register as a student and therefore do not have to pay tuition fees;
  • By signing a statement, you may make use of the Bestuursbeurs student organisations scheme, even though you are not a student;
  • Only for full-time board members of student associations;
  • You cannot make use of any right to student finance from DUO (because you are not a student) and you will of course not be able to follow education.
