Biography
Vedashree is originally from India where she completed her Bachelor’s degree in Dentistry. On moving to the Netherlands she obtained a Master’s in Medical Biotechnology at the Wageningen University. She then went on to complete a PhD in 'On the release of small RNAs and viruses from hepatocytes' at the Department of Hepatology & Gastroenterology, Erasmus Medical Center, Rotterdam.
Her work experience includes the role of product developer in a start up organization in the field of medical devices. Additionally she was a Funding Advisor at the Research and Development Office, Erasmus Medical center.
Vedashree joined the faculty of EUC in August 2020 as a tutor for the Department Life Sciences. Her passion to stay connected with academia inspired her to take up this position at EUC. She believes that a multicultural environment like that at EUC is the ideal ecosystem in which she can maximize her contribution in the field of education. Outside of work, Vedashree is passionate about food and its ability to bring people together.
