In order to apply and to determine your admissibility to the International Bachelor Economics and Business Economics programme, Erasmus School of Economics requires you to upload several documents in the EUR Applications Portal. Here you can find an overview of the required documents.

Please download the IBEB motivation statement and answer the 4 questions on the form (on the computer; please do not use your own handwriting). Then save the form as a PDF-file.
EEA applicants
Submit a copy of the personal data page of your passport or ID card. Please make sure that the document has sufficient resolution.
Non-EEA applicants
Submit a copy of the personal data page of your passport (ID cards are not accepted). Non-European passports should be valid for at least four months after the start of the study programme, as this is a requirement of the Dutch Immigration and Naturalisation Service. Should your passport not meet this requirement, you can use your current passport for applying but please be aware that by 1 April you need to possess a new passport in order to apply for your Dutch visa and/or residence permit.
In case you already have a Dutch residence permit you might need to extend, change or update your residence permit. Please refer to the immigration page for the procedure.
Applicants who already finished secondary school
We require a copy (in color) of your secondary school diploma. In addition, is your original diploma in a different language than English, Dutch or German, you are obliged to have your diploma officially translated by a sworn translator or notary office. We then require the original diploma as well as the official translation.
Applicants who have not yet graduated from secondary school
Please download the graduation statement, print it and ask your school to fill in the requested information as well as signing and stamping the statement. Only a certified official graduation statement will be accepted.
Applicants who already finished secondary school
We require an official copy of your final secondary school transcript. In addition, is your original secondary school transcript in a different language than English, Dutch or German, you are obliged to have your transcript officially translated by a sworn translator or notary office. We then require both the transcript in both the original language as well as the translated version.
Applicants who have not yet graduated from secondary school
Please supply us with 1 PDF file which contains your final results in 2022-2023 and 1 PDF file with your results so far in the year 2023-2024. A screenshot, excel sheet or self-made Word document with your grades will not be accepted.
(Dutch VWO applicants only need to submit their transcript with the results that they have obtained so far during the academic year 2023-2024)
If you are currently studying GCE A-levels, you are to submit a copy of your official (I)GCSE certificates and, if applicable, a copy of your official GCE AS-level certificate(s). In addition, we require an overview of any obtained A-level results for this year (for instance through A-level mock exams or internal assessments).
This only applies to applicants who have not yet obtained their secondary school diploma at the moment of application. Please contact your school for a statement in which teachers predict your final grades. The statement is to be prepared on school letter-headed paper. In case your secondary school does not cooperate on predicted grades, you can re-upload your list of obtained grades.
A proof of proficiency in the English language is required. Applicants must demonstrate this by means of a TOEFL iBT, IELTS Academic, or Cambridge B2 First, C1 Advanced or C2 Proficiency Certificate, not older than 2 years on the day of application. Please check the admissions website for more information on English language exemptions. There is no need to send a paper version of your test report via Postal Services.
Your curriculum vitae is a mandatory application document for students who have already graduated from secondary school and optional for those who apply while studying the final year of secondary school. We expect the curriculum vitae to contain a clear overview of your educational path as well as any additional experiences such as an enrolment to a different University programme or any other international experiences/background. We do not have a strict format for the curriculum vitae; you are welcome to use any layout which you prefer. Please do make sure that the document is completely up to date.
This is not a mandatory application document.
Applicants with a Nuffic statement
When you already have a Nuffic statement which confirms the level of your diploma/ study, you are welcome to submit your Nuffic evaluation.
Applicants with an Online Mathematics Placement certificate
When you have already obtained an additional mathematics certificate (for example OMPT), you are welcome to submit your certificate.
Applicants who already finished secondary school
When you are currently studying in another bachelor, you are asked to submit a copy of your progress results in this section.
Applicants who have not yet graduated from secondary school
You are welcome to submit any additional certificates or transcripts which you feel are relevant for your admission to our University. This is not mandatory!
