On Thursday, the 24th of March, the Global Social Challenge pillar hosts its first live event: Is global just transition still possible? A justice & business perspective on the energy transition.

Prof. Raphael Heffron will give a keynote speech on achieving a sustainable and just transition to a low-carbon economy, combining a mix of law, policy and economics. Heffron is Dean of the Faculty of Law at the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine Campus, and a professor in Global Energy Law & Sustainability. He is also Jean Monnet Professor in the Just Transition to a Low-Carbon Economy, awarded by the European Commission (2019-2022). Prof. Darren McCauley, Berfu Sobe and Hannah van den Brink will then act as discussants, after which an open Q&A will be held.

Join from 5-6 pm in the Erasmus Sustainability Hub on the ground floor in the Mandeville building. Attending the event is free.
