Step 3: Register in Studielink

Once you have assembled all required application documents, you can continue with applying for the IBEB programme in Studielink.

Please note: only registering in Studielink before the application deadline is not a valid academic registration. You will also need to pay the handling fee and submit your application documents in the EUR Application Portal, before the deadline of 1 April/ 1 May.

Please make sure that you fill out all details correctly.

*Student seeking admission on basis of a Dutch VWO- or HBO propaedeutic diploma are exempted from paying the fee.

1. Create your own Studielink account

  • Go to www.studielink.nl
  • Request login details and log-in (bear in mind: students residing in the Netherlands require a DigiD. If you do not have a DigiD yet, you are to request one. Make sure to do this well in advance)
  • Apply for a username and password
  • Be 100% sure that you insert the correct email address you will have access to at all times and do not use a school email account, as this may be blocked once you have graduated from secondary school in the summer.
  • Your password for Studielink will be sent to you by email. If you do not receive anything, please check your spam folder. Is your password missing in your spam folder as well? Please contact the Erasmus Student Service Centre by phone on 0031.10.408.8880

2. Login to Studielink

  • Go back to www.studielink.nl
  • Click "Log in"
  • Enter the username you chose and the password from the email

3. Fill out your personal details

  • Enter your personal details; make sure your given name and surname are spelled correctly
  • Add your previous education
  • Submit enrolment application
  • Choose the Institution "Erasmus University Rotterdam"
  • Choose the Study Programme “International Bachelor Econometrics and Operations research (only available in course type "full-time")
  • Start date “September 1 2024”
  • Type of enrolment “Student, starting as first-year”
  • Follow the steps to complete the institutional questions and confirm your application
  • Within two hours you will receive multiple emails. One of these emails contains your ERNA login and password. The login name contains your student number and will consist of six digits, for example: 123456. Make sure you hold on to your ERNA details; you need it for your registration and future correspondence with the University! In case you do not receive your student number within 24 hours, please call the Erasmus Student Service Centre on 0031.10.408.8880 and choose to speak to the IT department.

4. Check your application

After submitting your application, you will receive the following emails from Studielink:

  • Confirmation of your Studielink registration (overview of the details you submitted)
  • Verification of your previous education; explaining that Erasmus University should verify whether or not you are admissible to the programme you apply for
  • Non-Dutch students receive an email concerning verification of their passport/ID card, which the University will complete once the application documents are submitted in the EUR Application Portal (step 3 of the application procedure)
  • Request to supply the University with a portrait-photo, which will be used for your Erasmus student card
  • Email with your ERNA details
  • Email with a link to enter the EUR Application Portal: very important!

You should now proceed to the final step of your application, which is uploading your application documents in the EUR Application Portal.

Important! In order to continue to the next step, you must have a successful Studielink enrolment and received your personal ERNA details. When you encounter problems with your Studielink registration or your ERNA details, please contact the Erasmus Student Service Centre on 0031.10.408.8880. The ESSC is closed on Saturday and Sunday.
