Bachelor Honours Class - Student with folder

Erasmus School of Economics offers her best performing and most dedicated students the opportunity to participate in the Bachelor Honours Class. This programme is designed to provide extra challenges in addition to the regular curriculum. The programme prominently aims at inviting a diversity of speakers and organizing a variety of challenging meetings and workshops. We believe that this enhances the critical thinking of our students and enforces them to create different mind-sets. The goal of the programme is to deepen and broaden its students’ economic knowledge, stimulate their personal development, and increase their academic skills. The Bachelor Honours Class programme takes place in the second year of the bachelor.

The programme

The Bachelor Honours Class programme consists of several elements, among which a few theme cycles, a paper writing track, a cultural programme, and some personal leadership sessions. A theme cycle challenges the students to dive deep into a topic by reading thought-provoking books, attending interactive guest lectures, and visiting relevant institutions or companies. The topics change every year and are chosen based on the interest of the group.

During the paper writing track, students perform their own research and write an academic paper on this research. The students will present their papers at the Final Congress.

The application process

Students are selected based on their performance in the first three blocks of bachelor-1, a written application, and an interview. Commitment and active participations are primary requirements to complete the programme successfully.
