Erasmus School of Economics is proud to host the 15th Annual Conference of the European Sport Economics Association. The conference programme covers all areas of sports economics, including theoretical, empirical, and conceptual papers.
Policy panel
The conference kicks off on Wednesday 21 August 2024 with a panel discussion on the implications of the recent sport cases at the European Court of Justice. The Annual General Meeting of ESEA takes place in the afternoon of Thursday 22 August followed by the conference dinner at Prachtig Rotterdam.
Keynote speech
Professor Ignacio Palacios-Huerta (London School of Economics) will deliver a keynote speech on Friday 23 August. Erasmus School of Economics organises a PhD Workshop prior to the conference (Monday 19 until Wednesday 21 August). The conference language is English.

The conference is in person starting in the afternoon of Wednesday 21 August and ending at lunch time on Friday 23 August. The conference venue for Wednesday afternoon is the Van Donge en De Roo Stadium of Eredivisie club Excelsior Rotterdam (Link to maps). The venue for Thursday and Friday is the EUR conference center at Campus Woudestein (Link to maps).
