It is our pleasure to invite you to our bi-annual Workshop at the Crossroads of Law and Economics, this time on the topic of experiments (field and laboratory).
The workshop is co-organized by Erasmus School of Economics and Erasmus School of Law, with the support of the Erasmus Center for Economic and Financial Governance (ECEFG), and the Erasmus Centre of Empirical Legal Studies (ECELS).
Presenters come from different fields (law, economics, psychology, and others) and discuss their work relevant to legal questions and empirical research. Each presentation is then followed up by a stimulating discussion.

Mahdi Khesali is a research fellow at the Max-Planck-Institute for Research on Collective Goods, Bonn. He is also partly affiliated with Institute of Law and Economics University Hamburg. In his research, Mahdi studies decision-making under condition of conflict between formal and informal institutions. He also uses computational methods to gain new insights about constitutionalism in different regions of the world.

Jan Stoop is an Associate Professor at the department of Applied Economics, Erasmus University Rotterdam. His research is concerned with the measurement of social preferences of humans. He conducts lab experiments and experiments in a 'natural environment' to address questions social preferences in both settings. His research has been published in prestigious academic journals as the American Economic Review, the Journal of Political Economy, Management Science, among others.

Martin Sternberg is a Research Fellow at the Max Planck Institute for Research on Collective Goods in Bonn. His research focuses on antitrust law and behavioral economics. Martin studied law at the University of Bonn and passed the first state law examination in 2018. After submitting his dissertation at the beginning of 2022 on algorithmic pricing and tacit collusion, he began his legal traineeship at the Regional Court of Cologne.
