The Erasmus Center for Economic and Financial Governance is organising an international conference on "Inclusive Prosperity in Europe - Concepts, Challenges, Prospects". The event will examine prosperity both conceptually and operationally, highlighting its contested meaning beyond GDP and linking it to social fairness, equality, and sustainability. Participants will explore strategies and drivers of inclusive prosperity across different EU policy fields and reflect on the challenges and opportunities they present.

The programme features a high-level policy dialogue and three expert panels on conceptual and substantive issues. The high-level policy dialogue will feature Dr. Nicole Rosenboom (Partner, Oxera) and Professor Martin de Jong (Academic lead of the Erasmus Initiative Dynamics of Inclusive Properity) on “The Role of Inclusive Prosperity in the EU in the Face of a Volatile Geopolitical Landscape”. The ensuing expert panels will focus on interdisciplinary perspectives on (inclusive) prosperity as well as the drivers of and obstacles to inclusive prosperity in various EU policy fields that are currently highly relevant, such as trade, industrial policy, and defense policy.
