The board members are unpaid. The association does not employ its own staff. Personnel for the Leeskabinet is provided by staff appointed by Erasmus University.
The Leeskabinet maintains a large (academic) collection of books and journals in Rotterdam, and thus offers literary diversion and scientific, cultural and social information. Besides maintaining this collection, the Leeskabinet organises lectures and activities. The Leeskabinet focuses on both the staff and students of Erasmus University and the members of the Rotterdamsch Leeskabinet Association.
Every year, the activities are described in the annual report. This is adopted in the annual general meeting (around April/May). Read the last approved (Dutch language) report. The current activities are in line with the activities described in this last annual report. Read the penultimate annual report and the preceding annual report (all Dutch language).
Every year, the financial statement is adopted in the General Members' Meeting (around April/May). Read the last approved (Dutch language) financial statement. Read the penultimate financial statement and the preceding financial statement (all Dutch language).
