Frank Eijkenaar works as an assistant professor at the institute of Health Policy and Management (iBMG), Erasmus University Rotterdam. His current research focuses on the design and implementation of innovative payment models for healthcare providers, as well as on performance measurement and risk adjustment. As a teacher, he has been involved in the bachelor program 'health sciences' and the master program 'health economics, policy, and law' at iBMG, Erasmus University Rotterdam.

He holds a Bachelor's degree in health sciences (cum laude), a Master's degree in health economics, policy, and law (cum laude), and a PhD in health economics (thesis on the design and effects of pay-for-performance for healthcare providers).
