Philine is an academic researcher and lecturer at the Business-Society Management Department at RSM. Besides her research and teaching she works part-time on a PhD in Management.
Philine holds a BSc in Business administration (Rotterdam School of Management, 2016) and a MSc in Gobal Business & Sustainability (2017). Her MSc thesis focussed on the value of volunteers for UNICEF the Netherlands. In her PhD projects she will expand this research with the overarching question: What is the value of volunteers for organizations. Special focus will be on the value volunteers can create for their home organizaitons when volunteering trough third-party models (e.g. the company with corporate volunteering, the university with service learning).
Philine teaches several courses on the BSc and MSc level, including courses on nonprofit management, inslusive leadership, and social consultancy. She also coaches several research projects with a focus on CSR, volunteer management and related topics (BSc and MSc research internships, part-time MSc company & international project).
As a researcer, Philine is part of the Rural 3.0 consortium, a project created to set up a common framework and online space at the European level to stimulate rural Service Learning and rural Social Entrepreneurship.
