Library

EIPE has its own library with a small collection of approximately 500 books on the philosophy and history of economics. It is intended to supplement the main university library's resources for students and staff at EIPE.

You can find the EIPE library’s collection here: searchable catalogue

The library is presently run by student assistant Måns Abrahamson. Books can be borrowed whenever he is at the faculty (Mondays 09:30-12:00) or by arrangement.

Contact: Måns Abrahamson, e-mail: abrahamson@esphil.eur.nl.

Library rules

  • Books can only be borrowed through the librarian, Måns Abrahamson.
  • You can borrow up to four (4) books at once.
  • Books are loaned for one (1) month, and can be renewed once by email/in person. After that they have to be returned. If someone else requests your book, you should return it within one (1) week or the end of the loan period (whichever is shorter). These times can be extended during holidays.
  • You can request books that someone else has by contacting them directly or emailing/otherwise contacting Måns Abrahamson: abrahamson@esphil.eur.nl.
  • If you lose or severely damage a book you must pay the replacement cost (roughly, the Amazon price + shipping). By using the library, you agree to this.
