As a lecturer, you would like your students to set goals, plan learning activities, monitor their learning, stay motivated and evaluate their results. In other words, you want them to be self-regulated learners. Unfortunately, not all students make the best use of self-regulated learning and not all courses are designed to maximize the application of self-regulated learning.
