Representatives from Dutch and Flemish universities attended the seminar organized by Professor Thea Hilhorst on their duty for care to researchers in the field, held in the Paleiskerk in The Hague on 19 September 2017.
The topic of safety and security is clearly of interest within the university community and the developing sense of urgency will lead to better preparedness and more robust support structures.
Pursuing this further will ensure that researchers and our students are as safe as possible as they move around the world on university business, conducting vital research and studying in a global setting.
Those present at the seminar took advantage of the legal and security experts who presented at the seminar and participated in the lively and productive discussion.
