College Café: 'Acceptance and intolerance of sexual and gender diversity'

May 17th marks the International Day against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia. To honor this day, on Tuesday the 15th of May, the Diversity & Inclusion Office EUR and Erasmus Pride are hosting a panel on acceptance and intolerance of sexual and gender diversity. 

Will you join us?

Anna Tijsseling, postdoc researcher at Willem Pompe Institute and lecturer political history at Utrecht University will moderate this discussion. Joined by three speakers of various backgrounds who will share their stories, speaking to and with the audience:

  • Esther Plugge, secretary of Transcafé and has personally seen how the Netherlands has become more accepting of gender diversity
  • Anwar, an Egyptian refugee who found acceptance for his homosexuality in the Netherlands
  • Marli Huijer, professor of Public Philosophy and Faculty Diversity Officer at the Faculty of Philosophy of Erasmus University Rotterdam
