Unwanted behaviour

Unwanted behaviour

All students and staff of ESE should be able to study and work in a safe, pleasant and productive atmosphere. In case you encounter unwanted behaviour, what can you do?

The following types of behaviour can be labelled as unwanted:

• Harassment (sexual or otherwise)
• Aggressive behaviour and/or violence
• Teasing
• Stalking
• Unequal treatment

In case you encounter such behaviour, it is recommended to first contact the EUR confidential counsellors. Their contact details and additional information can be found here. All consultations are confidential. The counsellor will discuss with you what steps to take next. Note that they will never take any action without your explicit approval. Often a solution can be achieved by means of mediation. If mediation is unsuccessful or not an option, a complaint can be lodged with the Executive Board.
