Chinese Student Associations

In Rotterdam there are different student associations specifically for Chinese students. These can help Chinese students in making themselves feel more at home and to explore the Dutch society with other fellow students.

  • ACSSR

Association of Chinese Students and Scholars in Netherland Rotterdam Branch (ACSSR) is a volunteer organization formed by Chinese students studying in the Netherlands (Bachelor, master, fellows, visiting scholars, senior visiting scholars and project exchanges, cooperation scientific research staff). It works under the guidance of the Education Department of Embassy of the PRC in Netherland and the Association of Chinese Students and Scholars in Netherland (ACSSNL).

As the only Chinese students association recognized and supported by Embassy of PRC in Rotterdam, it cooperates closely with the Embassy, acts as a bridge between the Embassy and the students and scholars in Rotterdam to help them in various ways.

The mission of ACSSR is to bid a panel for students to improve themselves, help themselves, and fight for their legitimate rights in incidents or accidents. Through activities it organizes to enrich the lives, strengthen the relationships and communication of students. Last but not least, help the students to adapt to the Dutch culture, and promote the Chinese culture to the local Dutch.

  • CSA EUR

The Chinese Student Association has been steadily growing since its formation in the autumn of 2004. Our focus is on bridging the gap between the Western and the Eastern world through social, cultural, educational and career related activities.

We have organized many lectures, workshops, demonstrations, language courses and also social drinks, to bring people of all walks of life together to revere and learn more about the Chinese culture that has such a rich and fascinating history.

We strive to help students expand their network of relations with people of related interests and also with companies located in the Netherlands and China. As our organization continues to grow, we will do our best to maintain and also improve the quality of the activities and services we offer.
