Because Rotterdam has such a rich water history, two festivals decided to put their heads together. In a joint initiative, Wijnhaven Festival and Rotte Picnic Islands came up with the Rotterdam Water Weekend, to be held from 30 June till 2 July.
Lots to do
You can rent a boat or go on a guided tour to learn about the history and future of the abundant waterways of the city. Looking for a bit more action? Join the 010 City Swim or the Rotta-Run. And if you’re not the sporty type, just sit back and relax on the docks or one of the picnic islands, cheer on the swimmers, and enjoy a maritime concert by Sinfonia Rotterdam.
