Erasmus University Rotterdam is celebrating its 110th anniversary. This event is part of our 22nd lustrum. Check all our lustrum events.
On 23 May, our university's Wetenschapsknooppunt (Science Hub) is hosting Meet the Professor. During this day, professors from EUR will take to the city on bicycles to introduce children to the work and research of a professor at various primary schools.
Introduction to science
In the weeks leading up to the professor's visit, the children are given so-called quests in class that introduce them to the professor coming to their class. In this way, the children are introduced to science according to the principles of inquiry-based learning.
Meeting a professor
The pupils will engage with the professor about the professor's field of study. In preparation, the pupils have been able to think of enough curious questions for the professor that they will get answers to in this meeting. The children will still amaze the professor with their knowledge and skills!
