Let's Talk Health, (Wo)men! This is the theme of the celebration of International Women's Day on Thursday 8 March at the Erasmus University Rotterdam. In honour of this day, the university organizes a talk show on themes related to 'Women's Health'.
Thursday 8 March is International Women's Day, which celebrates the importance of the position of women in today's society. On this day, the Erasmus University will organise a round table discussion in the Erasmus Pavilion on the theme of women and health. Various themes relating to equality in 'Women's Health' will be discussed.
The talk show will be hosted by Dory Grandia (Erasmus Centre for Women and Organisations). She will talk to the following speakers:
- Prof. Dr. Semiha Denktas (EUC) on 'Health educators & nudging'. How do we change behaviour on the basis of a positive message?
- Dr. Jeanine Roeters van Lennep (Erasmus MC) about the male-female differences in research in medical science.
- Ginie Servant (EUC) about 'Fairfight'. An organisation that promotes the empowerment of women by means of martial arts.
- Pinar Coskun on the Sustainable Foodlab. Creating a sustainable lifestyle that fits the new global way of living.
About diversity
Diversity is one of the spearheads of Erasmus University's policy. The celebration of International Women's Day fits in well with this.
